Life is not a Practice

The third day at Gardasee. Another long climb on loose stone and hard tracks (at least for me).
But the view was more than worth it.

Gustav, Jon, Heidi, Moni and I. A gentle ride to the Metze Berg Alm.

Moni, heidi and I set off in fairly nice weather but by the time we reached the Wilbergerhof it was pouring down.



We cycled back to warm showers and a beer.

Cycled alone up to Sportheim Böck. On the way I met a couple from Stuttgart. I carried on up with them. Turned out that he (Fridolin Kreuzer) is a bit of a crack downhiller and was planning on cycling down "the Grat".

That sounded like fun so I went with him. Actually it should be impossible but Fridolin cycled everything. I pushed a few times but still did some bits that I should not have.



Once I came round a steep corner to find a walker in the middle of the path. Braking only resulted in me going over the handlebars and in to a tree. Luckily I only got a few bruises and scratches.

A Sunday tour from Nesselwang to Garmisch. The sort of day that makes it worth living. Great route, great weather, great people. Fantastic. We caught the train back for 10 Euros per person.

Lovely evening so we cycled over Schwarzenberg to the Rottachspeicher for a swim. Back via Oy.

To Wertach to visit the 7-Vereine-Sportsfest and then on to Schwaltenweiher to visit the beach volleyball competition (cancelled).

Billed from Jon and Gustav as a "flat" tour on "tarmac". It was nearly 80 kms with a climb of 1300 meters. And there was enough mud to get absolutely filthy.
