Life is not a Practice

A hot and sunny Thursday evening.
7 of us (in Group 2) cycled round the Edelsberg with a stop at the Sorg Alpe.

Out on a Tuesday evening with Heidi, Christa, Max, Gustav and Jon. Up to Ellegg and then down again. Up to the Metzer Alpe and then down again - after a beer at the Alpe.
The girls had to leave early to go to a party.

On a hot (29°C in the shade), sunny summers day we cycled along the Iller Radweg from Oberstdorf to Kempten. "We" were Alison and I, Heidi and Hermann and Irene Z.

The path is nearly all downhill to Kempten and hard gravel. It is a bit of a bike motorway but very scenic and easy to cycle. We stopped for a coffee at the water ski lake in Immenstadt and again at Kempten station for a bite to eat.



From Kempten Station, Heidi and I then cycled home to Nesselwang through the Kemptener Wald.

A quick race bike tour on a sunny afternoon. Yes, it has finally stopped raining :-)

Much the same weather as Tuesday - drizzle - but more so. We also took much the same route as Tuesday but finished differently.

A drizzly end to a wet day. 5 Tuesday bikers were out and decided to do Faistenoy and Ellegg.

The trip out with max this morning should have been enough but this evening Jon rang and suggested a racing bike tour.

22km around the Grüntensee and then up to Oy and the mast in Maria Rain.

At last the summer is back. Max and I were out for a Sunday morning bike ride in to Jungholz and back home.

It was pouring with rain so only six of us (Moni, Karin C., Christa, Jon, Max and I) were out cycling on the Fathers day evening.
We cycled up to Maria Trost and then back down again. Wet but fun.

Moni, Max & I out on a Tuesday evening and discovered a new, interesting way to the hanging bridge. I think it is amazing that after so many years we are still finding new tracks.

Every one needs an aim in life. Ours was just to enjoy two days of cycling together but that did not sound like a real "target" so we agreed that our "reason" was to drink an ice coffee in the middle of Munich.



We left Nesselwang at 11:30 and were in Walkertshofen (Hotel Burgberg - http://www.hotelburgberg.de/) for our evening meal - 85kms.

After a great night in Hotel Burgberg we left at 09:00 and reached the Karlsplatz (Stachus) in Munich about eight hours later - 92kms

First tour with the complete Thursday Bikers. I enjoyed an interesting 22km ride with group 2. Nearly got hit by a train crossing the railway but the rest was less dangerous. Note to self: don't follow Karin K.

Luckily a few people had remembered to brink some drinks with them and I had a small bottle of home made schnapps from Gisela Ohrnberger.
