Life is not a Practice

Jon has bought a new buggy to use as advertising for his shop ( http://www.jons-adventures.com ) so we went out and tried to roll it.



We failed!

Out with Moni, Jon and Max on our race bikes.
Did two caches and then went for a swim in the Grundweiher. A nice relaxing evening.

We have been planning it for some time but today we both had time so Astrid and I cycled to the Roßberg after work.

"It is all downhill to Munich" we thought, which meant that the 140km should have been easy. But it turns out that by going "the long way round" you can also do over 800m of climbing as well.



Jon and I cycled to Munich today for a beer in the English Garden. We also managed a swim in the Isar river which was fantastically refreshing in the midday heat.

Because we started by following the north edge of the Alps we also crossed many rivers and the ridges in between which made for great views.

Heidi and I cycled the 170km round trip to Walkertshofen for lunch at the hotel Burgberg today. Started with breakfast at Heidis and then did the 80km to Walkertshofen. After a great lunch, we cycled the 90km home stopping off for an ice coffee on the way.

Met a man cycing from the northern tip of Denmark to Lake Constance. He asked if he could make use of our wind shadow.

29°C in the shade, 73km and almost 1200 meters of climbing. A great tour in to the Austrian Alps but we were all glad to be home.

A quick tour between the rain with Karin. It rained all morning but we took advantage of a gap in the showers to cycle up the Edelsberg (at a cracking pace - I was covered in sweat!) Still got wet on the last downhill.
