Another day, another bike workshop. But the Heidi bike "clack" is gone. And we still did most of the route.

The tour started well but ended as a tour from bike shop to bike shop looking for a solution to the "clack" in Heidi's bike.

From Bognor to Arundel and back.



40km and 394 meters of climbing. Good bit of pushing due to a none working pump and a broken valve.

Our first bike ride after being reunited with our folding mountain bikes.



40km with 135 meters of climbing. The diversion to Chichester was because I wasn't paying attention to the GPS

The snow has either melted or been washed away. In the morning Gertrud asked if I wanted to go for a walk so we walked to Reichenbach for a coffee. It was so sunny and warm that I was motivated to take my MTB out for a run. Not so far and few hills but still the first ride of 2018.

Today is the winter solstice but I was out cycling in shorts and a T-shirt. You just need to be far enough south. Yesterday we arrived by sailing boat at the Island of La Graciosa ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graciosa,_Canary_Islands ) and today Shane and I hired some bikes and went for a ride round the island and a walk up the dormant volcano of Montana Bermeja.

Unlike yesterday, today was neither warm or sunny but Caro convinced me to go out cycling. We were absolutely soaked through by the time we got home.
